gunnergunudown (Arsenal) : Man City targeting highly rated Argentinian Diego Buonette from River plate for 8million pounds. Real Madrid have sounded out Karim Benzema as the replacement for Van Nistelrooy. Karim Benzema has previously stated that he will only move to Spain or stay in France. That rules out Man Utd who were interested.

ONEhopeONElove (Manchester United) : Real Madrid have contacted Kia Joorabchian about Carlos Tevez, with Real willing to pay 30m+ after the injury to Van Nistelrooy. But United have first refusal and should they decide to let Tevez move on (highly unlikely) the 30m saved will go towards Karim Benzema.

UF99 (Manchester United) : The news at United is that Moa, the Norwegian starlet at Valerenga, will join Man United as a replacement for Carlos Tevez, who is likely to leave in the summer. Gus Poyet is back in the frame to become assistant manager at United, sharing the capacity with Mike Phelan. There is upmost confidence in Owen Hargreaves coming back to full form next season after recovering from surgery, and as such, a midfielder is unlikely to be signed, although Anthony Annan is the likely target should either Scholes retire, or Hargreaves fail to recover his fitness. A winger is more likley to come in and David Silva is the top target, with Antonio Valencia the plan B. The consistently poor form of Nani has prompted consideration of the player's future at the club, and with Ronaldo still a doubt and the assumption that Giggs can't go on forever, a winger could be in quite soon.
